Inger Lenau

Born in Australia 1956, has lived in Denmark since 1975.
Inger is currently living and working in Australia.
Has completed a number of works in public spaces : handmade concrete slabs adorning architecture. She also works with painting, installation, photos and sculpture.
"My attention, regard and respect is to the ground we tread on and the earth as our basis for living. I experience an infinite flow of energy plunging and surfacing the earth constantly. My work focuses on the surface under our feet.
The energy my body generates starts my working process where movements draw lines, structures and patterns in the materials I work with. I cast, mould and shape forms with my hands. In the process there emerges a consciousness inherent of our existence between nature and culture."
